Diabetic Domicile

Where did the tradition of making gingerbread houses come from? Are they supposed to be tiny candy houses for Santa's elves to live in? What's the connection to Christmas?

Because, honestly, it makes me feel like the evil witch who tricked Hansel and Gretel with her candy house. (By the way, when I was a kid, I totally would have gone home with an evil witch if she promised me I could eat her candy house. To me, it's worth the risk.)

Despite my psychosis, we decided to make a gingerbread house with Maddox this year. Just so you know, I avoided making comments about any tiny witches living in the house and luring unsuspecting children to her sugared abode.

A short pause in construction in order to snack on the building materials.

Okay, you hambone, back to work.

The finished product! If you know of any miniature witches that need a place to stay, give us a call.
