For the past month or so, Jeff and his boss, Matt, have been studying the gospel during down times at work. Matt asks great questions that require a lot of diligent research, and it has been quite a learning experience for both of them. They even have a Bible at the presale trailer, ready when they need it. Yesterday, Matt said he wanted to be baptized, and they launched a study about our royal priesthood and the urgency and necessity of baptism. Tonight, Jeff was blessed enough to be able to baptize Matt in our snowy spa. Enjoy the pictures and send up prayers of thanks for Matt's life-changing decision to become a child of God. Praise God!!

Gymboree
When we lived in California, I never would have dreamed of paying a monthly membership to Gymboree. If we wanted to run around and get exercise, we would go to a playground or a park. Well, with the Denver weather the way it is (a windy 20 degrees today), Gymboree is somewhat of a necessity. Maddox and I go to one gym class every week, and at least one open gym time every week. I don't know what we would do without it!
With these genes, I think this is as close to the NBA as he'll ever get.
I'm concentrating. Apparently climbing is very serious business.
But, going down always gets a smile!

Dinner Time
It seems like we have had a lot of posts related to eating lately. Can you tell that our lives have been centered around getting Maddox to eat for a while? I'm just sharing my excitement that now the highchair has become a good place to be. So...another post with food. Here, Maddox tries spaghetti for the first time, and so do the dogs!

Cutest Little Naked Baby Ever
As soon as Maddox gets a few seconds of freedom from the ever-present diaper, he is off and running. It's all I can do to catch him and wrestle him back onto the floor for a new diaper. So, instead of wrestling this time, I just got the camera!
Dog Torture
I'll bet Clubber and Sophie are so happy to be back home with us. After all, at the Leslie's house they had a big back yard to play in, planters to dig in, and no little hands pulling their ears and tails all the time. What crazy dog would want that?! Here they get to play peek-a-boo and dress up. It's a dog's life.
Clubber is pretty patient, but Sophie cannot believe that this is what her life has come to.
Eating Machine
It took a long while for Maddox to come into his own in the eating arena. I was worried that food would become a constant battle in our house, but seasoned moms were telling me that he would eat when he was ready. Well, they were right...and now he's ready! The kid eats like a garbage disposal. A normal meal for him is chicken, corn, apples, and beans in one sitting! And he still nurses about 6 times a day. I'm not going to be able to feed this kid when he gets to high school!!
I can drink from a sippy cup!
But it's a lot more fun to try to dump the water out!

Caught on Film
Here are a few videos of Maddox playing around. Notice what Maddox thinks of Sophie at the end of the first video...
Life in Denver
We are settling into our little routine here in Thornton. Maddox has learned all kinds of new tricks like talking on the phone, clapping, and head butting the dogs. And speaking of the dogs...they're back!!!
"Hello? Grandma? It's me, Maddox!"
A new way to talk on Mommy's cell phone.
Back in Business!
After a long pause, we are back from our bloggie break! We loved our trip to California for Christmas and having the Young's and Gash's here in Denver with us to ring in the New Year. Here is a jumble of December photos in no particular order...
